Almost eight years ago, Volkswagen Classic Parts had the idea that we needed to expand the supply of spare parts for the Golf Mk2 and Jetta Mk2, specially visual spare parts. The roof trims are particularly important for classic Volkswagen models. Appearance, sealing and wind noise are quality features that we have placed particular focus on. A change is often needed especially for vehicles that have not been parked in a garage over the years. This is how the project began to make a new production in 100% Volkswagen quality.
All development processes have been strictly monitored over the years by our team of spare parts experts with years of experience. “Nothing is left to chances” was the motto of our experts and they got to work right away. A new production is a long lasting process. Old drawings must be found, materials checked and dimensions precisely coordinated. The roof trims are parts that must be worked perfectly. Every millimeter has to be right here and now. Even the mounting was tested and monitored in-house. Only after the mounting and numerous tests the sign said: GO!
