This shim is used for the mounting and support of the front door lock actuation mechanism. It is suitable for various versions of the Volkswagen L80 (model years 1995 to 1997), the Brazilian-built Furgao (model years 2006 to 2011), and the Mexican-built Tipo 2 (model years 1972 to 2001).
The shim is installed in the area of the interior door release, door lock mechanism, or exterior door handle and helps ensure proper operation of the door system. It is an ideal replacement part for repairs and authentic vehicle restorations.
